This is an alphabetical listing of Chair, sofa and stool furniture kits available from A & G Sledge (Miniatures). Each kit is described. All dimensions are in inches and are given in the order: Width, Depth, Height. Width is from side to side and depth is front to back looking from the front.

    This kit is extremely simple consisting of only 6 panels two pins and a knob. The front lifts up to provide access to your own potty.

    Empire Chair

    The Empire Chair matches the Empire Sofa. It is supplied with the foam padding for you to cover with the material of your choice or use our cross stitch cover kit. The Empire style was developed in France during the early 19th century after Napoleon became Emperor. Empire furniture often used gilded bronze ornaments with classical and Egyptian motifs and had little or no carving or moulding.

    The Empire Sofa matches the Empire Chair. It is supplied with the foam padding for you to cover with the material of your choice.     This shape of stool was known and used in Egypt as early as 1350 BC. It was also used in the Middle ages (15th century) and again in the 18th century. Many variations of the structural X have been used. The Empire style was developed in France during the early 19th century after Napoleon became Emperor. Empire furniture often used gilded bronze ornaments with classical and Egyptian motifs and had little or no carving or moulding.

    Louis XVI Sofa

    This sofa dates from the 18th century before the French revolution in 1789.

    Miner's Couch

    Miner's Couch

    The Miner's couch is similar to the Chaise except that it has an arm assembly at each end. It is based on couches used by miners in the Australian Gold rush in the Ballarat area but could also be used (stained in rosewood) as a Regency scroll sofa. As with the chaise longue, it has a slatted base and is supplied with foam for the padded seat but not for the two bolster cushions shown in the picture. The chioce of material is left to you so that you can match your room's decor.

    These chairs were often made with a decorative walnut veneer. The Queen Anne period is from 1702-1714. A padded seat could easily be added.

    The swivel chair is a relatively modern piece of furniture which would fit with any of the desks from our range in your study. It does actually swivel.

    William and Mary chair

    William and Mary Chair

    This chair is from the transitional period of design at the end of the 17th century and beginning of the 18th century which roughly coincides with the reign of William II and Mary II (1689-1702).
